Christmas stockings

These are from a few years ago.  My mom made these really cool patchwork Christmas stockings for my brother, sis-in-law and niece.  I used some waste canvas to cross stitch their names on the velvet to go on the top of the stockings.  It was a lot of fun but difficult; it was the first time I had used waste canvas and on top of that I used satin floss with Kreinik metallic floss, yeah it wasn't the smartest decision I made but it all turned out, so I am glad that I toughed it out and didn't give up.
